Wild & Free – The main kit only with Corrie

Hey guys! Do you ever think you cannot make a beautiful and creative layout with just the main kit? Well, that is certainly NOT the case! I am here today to show you how awesome it is to use just the October 2017 Main Kit ONLY to create a layout.

I love a lot of embellishments on my pages and do not typically use a lot of patterned paper, but for this I used paper as an embellishment! I cut out strips of three papers, Pink Fresh Studios Chase and Transform and Pebbles Jen Hadfield’s Blushing, which I used both sides of. I picked these papers because the colors worked perfectly with my photo. Once I had the strips cut, I cut them into little banner pieces.

Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.

I added them straight down the center of my page. Then to add texture and some security, I stitched a wavy line up and down the strips with my sewing machine. I also added some stitching across some of the pieces to make them stand out a bit more.

I added my photo and some of the Pink Fresh Studios Ephemera. Once I was working on my title though, I realized that the blue alpha in the main kit was not going to work with the colors on this page. And I do not have any type of cutting machine. So I dug through the ephemera pack again and found the one that said “wild & free”. That worked!

I hope I have inspired you to get out your kit and believe you can make a beautiful and embellished page with just your main kit!
