Hello Hip Kit fans. It’s already Thursday and Thursdays are a fun days on HKC blog. We always have three inspirations for you and the all share some common challenge. This week we all: Cara, Felicity and Anna, had to play with sticker phrases.
Hello everyone. My August kits just arrived and I was more than happy to dive into them. I must admit that first page with new kits is always the hardest to make. On one hand I have all the goodies to use but on the other hand, it’s so hard to decide which one I should use first. It make the process much longer than usual. This week we are supposed to focus on sticker phrases and I must tell you that I love those from “Carousel” collection so much.
Phrase stickers I am talking about are from the Main Kit. I like their quality – they are stiff so they can hold the dimension added with the foam sqares. I used on of the “Carousel” papers as my backgroud. I wanted it to look like a sky. I also added a fun cut out with clouds and kites designed by Kim Watson.
I mixed the phrase stickers with ephemera pieces ans stickers. They have the same fun font and style so they match perfectly. You can also find chipboard stickers in Embellishment Kit and regular stickers in Project Life Kit.
I fussy cut few kites from “Carousel” paper. I like papers with elements for fussy cutting. It can spread possibilities of using kits even with low embellishments.
With few words around your picture you don’t need more embellishments. I just added few bows and some hearts.
I am also a big fan of exclusive wooden buttons. They always have such a fantastic designs.

Hi planner girls and scrappy ladies! Like Anna I just got my August kits and I found it tough to get my first project done! So many pretty goodies, it was impossible to narrow everything down to fit on one planner spread. Since tomorrow is the first day of September, I’m sharing my monthly spread.
Now you may think that you can’t fit very many of these phrase stickers onto a planner spread but I’ve got three of them on here!
I lined them up near the bottom to act as a border and then I added another similar Carousel word sticker (sweet) at the top which I paired with some Gold letter Thickers to act as the title. These gold letters are mint on thte inside and are so pretty in real life. Both the letter stickers and Carousel stickers were in the Project Life kit.
When I was decorating, I started with a few strips of Carousel patterned papers along the top and bottom of the pages and then layered as many of these fabulous products as I could and still be able to close my planner! 😉 There are die cuts from Pretty Little Studio and ephemera from Maggie Holmes, more puffy stickers from the sheet with the phrase stickers and paper stickers from the Carousel collection and some page flags from the collection as well.
Then I added a couple more just for good measure 😉
A couple of planner clips are the perfect finishing touch and this adorable bow and fabulous button made the most fantastic clips!! I added them to the side of the page to shake things up a bit.
This is my last project as a member of the design team and I wanted to say a huge thank you to the wonderful hip kit team and all of you! It was a fantastic time creating with these gorgeous kits!

I do have to confes though, that those bows had me like “Oh my…” I think I used all them on this page, there was no way I was leaving any behind!
Take a look at the hearts and all those cute stars as well. Its not just a sheet of sticker phrases, but a sheet of embellishments that complement your word sentiments.
