Fussy-cutting embellishments | Zinia Amoiridou

Hello everyone! It’s Zinia here to share with you a layout I created using the August 2017 Hip Kits.

I’m sure you already know that the August kits include some amazing papers. One of my favorite ways to use pattern papers is to fussy-cut them and create my own ephemera.

What I enjoy about this the most is the fact that I end up with a design in multiple copies. When the design is slightly different on every piece I cut that’s even better! So I went ahead and cut out a bunch of kites and floral clusters.

Once I had all my elements cut I started arranging them on the page. I created clusters with kits and flowers all-over the page spreading the colors as evenly as possible. To make things a bit more interesting I brought in some chipboard and puffy stickers to add dimension.

To take things even further I decided to add a few of the exclusive wooden buttons and one of the gorgeous Maggie Holmes fabric bow.

I really hope you enjoyed them and you got inspired to create something with your kits. Make sure to stop by the HKC Facebook page and the HKC Member Forum for even more inspiration.

Until next time, happy scrapping🙂
