Welcome back to another Thursday. It’s the first day of summer so let’s celebrate with some paper crafting! Every week on Thursday, three of our Design Team members take the same product or theme and show their individual take on it. This week, it’s Cara, Jessica and Ashley who are going to show you lots of fantastic ways to use the colour combination of navy and pink. Don’t forget to pop over to our Facebook page, too! Tehri has a forth project in pink and navy!
Navy and pink is such a sophisticated colour combination. I love how Shimelle has mixed them in her collection Little by Little. I used a lot of her products from various kits for this planner spread in my Commit30, including stickers from her sticker book (such variety in one book, I love this book!), ephemera and the Cultivate Joy paper.
I added other goodies to my spread as well, like the Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams, My Darling Paper from Crate Paper and the exclusive puffy stickers. I sandwiched paper clips between two of the Dear Lizzy buttons with a bit of hot glue to make these adorable planner clips.
I love this little tip in that I added. I decorated the front but I left the back blank, so it still has lots of extra space for writing. I used one of the exclusive Project Life cards and more stickers and ephemera from Shimelle. That typewriter embellishment came with the Dear Lizzy Buttons and Brads. I finished the tip in with some of the exclusive Hip Kit Club puffy stickers. I stuck it into the centre seam of my insert with one of the washi strips from the Shimelle sticker book.
Grab a cool summery drink (to celebrate this first day of summer) and your kits and hit play on the video, I walk you through how I decorated the tip-in.
HAPPY PLANNING!

Hey friends! I’m up next – and I decided to create a 8 1/2″x11″ layout using our choice of colors. Here we go:
Now, I mentioned that I just recently found my love for this format – and I’m serious, I love it! Whereas it won’t replace my standard 12″ size, I’m pretty sure that I’ll grab the 8 1/2″ format here and then. I like how easy it is to built up a page; it comes together almost naturally. You might want to give it a go if you haven’t – I’ve been very sceptical about it at first, but here I am.
This exclusive project life card from the project life kit seriously is CRAFTY LIFE. I love it so so much – it might even me my all-time favorite PL card ever! I also loved the tiny buttons from the Dear Lizzy Lovely Day line, however, I didn’t have the perfect spot for them for a while, but that changed with this layout. I just love how they’re scattering around and look cute!
I hope you feel inspired!
xox,
Jessy

Hey everyone! I am super excited to be back with another Hip Kit project! Today, I have a layout to share, plus a process video with all of the details, using the May 2017 Kits!
The theme was Navy and Pink which have to one of my favorite scrapbooking combos! And even in the fashion world, I love this combo!
I started with a white background and started hand-cutting several hot air balloons from one of the Dear Lizzy “Lovely Day” papers from our Paper Kit.
I love how much Navy and Pink is in this collection. I placed my photo right away, added two HKC Exclusive PL cards from the Project Life Kit and started placing the fussy-cut hot air balloons around the page. To add more interest, I punched some clouds from 3 of the different (variations of) pinks that came in our Card stock Kit.
Lastly, I added some embellishments to finish off my little clusters.
I hope y’all love this one! It was super quick one but the process was super fun.
Here’s my process video:
XOXO
