Gift Bag for a Special Guy | Zinia Amoiridou

Hello Hip Kits fans, it’s Zinia here with a really fun off-the-page creation. From time to time I see people wishing the kits were a bit more “boy-themed” so I thought it would be fun to show you how you can isolate some elements and colors from the April 2017 kits and create a really cute gift bag for your special guys.

My theme for this assignment was actually no-white but since it was an off-the-page paper craft it’s not really hard to stay away from white elements.

To start, I picked a couple of pattern papers with green and yellow colors. I used the yellow paper to create a gift bag with my WeR Memory Keepers gift bag punch board. If you don’t have that board you can just google and download a template. It’s really easy to cut it using your Silhouette machine but you can definitely cut it by hand too.

Make sure to cut your gift bag a little taller than what you want cause we are going to create a decorative flap. To do so, pick one of your long sides and draw a banner shape. Cut around it to create the flap and also trim down all the other sides to align with the base of your banner flap.

Once your paper is ready, assemble the bag and hold it together using some strong adhesive.

To add some decorations and personalize our gift bag, use your second piece of pattern paper and cut out a tie. Again you can look for a template online or just eyeball it like I did. You can add some finishing touches like stickers to add a small sentiment on the bag.

Before I go I also wanted to share with you a few more pages from my traveler’s notebook.

So these are my projects for today. I really hope you enjoyed them and you got inspired to create something with your kits. Make sure to stop by the HKC Facebook page and the HKC Member Forum for even more inspiration.

Until next time, happy scrapping🙂
