Thursday is here again – this means that we will give you three different ideas on how to use a certain products. Today, Michelle, Cara and Anna are bringing you some unique and fun projects. Today we are featuring the Alphas and Numbers that were included with in the April 2017 kits. Let’s see how they have all used them!
Michelle
I decided to use the Vicki Boutin Crayons to color in the numbers from the watercolor sticker sheet both of which are in the April Color Kit to create a countdown to FIVE on my layout and used a photo of my youngest daughter Aimee on her recent birthday! It is so easy to just color these in and add some water and they create the most beautiful color.
I also wanted to create a vertical design and to do this I added strips of the Bella Blvd black and white washi tape from the Embellishment Add on to create anchor points in my design which I used to add extra embellishments on and around. I enjoyed using the Crate Paper Oasis ephemera and Pink Fresh Studio leatherette stickers from the Mix Up collection to create a fun non-traditional birthday page of my daughters ‘flamingo party’

There are many opportunity to use numbers in planners because they are based on dates, but besides the days of the week and names of the months, alphas can have limited use. That’s why I’m in my bullet journal today. It’s a little insert in the front of my traveller’s notebook where I like to put lists and plans that don’t have a specific time or date set to them. This spread is a list of all the books I’ve read so far in 2017 and I will add more as I complete them (next is Voyager from the Outlander series).
I used the exclusive Hip Kip alphas along with the script-y black ones from Pink Fresh together for the title of my spread. I love mixing fonts for an interesting title, layering it over the world map Project Life card with a bit of washi and embellishments finish off the title. I repeated the aqua and gold, but numbers this time, in the bottom corner with the washi for balance. I used the little alphas from My Mind’s Eye for the months’ names and of course, I had to add some of the Paige Evans adorable chipboard books to a list about books!
Here’s a video of how I’ve put it all together, grab a cuppa and hit play.

Happy Planning!

I am a big fan of alpha stickers. There are plenty of them in April Kits. I use a lot of them but also I usually get stuck with leftovers that are hard to create new words with. I have a nice way to use every single letter. I made a layout using letters to create title but also as a part of my background.
I used Vicki Boutin watercolor sticker alphabet to create a texture in my background. I covered it with gesso and added color with Art Crayons. You can find them in Color Kit. I must tell You that they are just awesome.
My juicy and colorful background didn’t need too much of embellishing so I focused over my pictures. I added some flowers from “Oh my heart chipboard stickers. You can find them in Embellishment Kit.
I created a title using Pinkfresh Studio black puffy alpha stickers. Remember to add extra glue when You you place them over the gesso. Afer I took pictures of my page I noticed I made a mistake in word “aplhabet”. I added extra “h”. So sorry for that. You can watch my creative process on the video below:
I hope we inspired You to use more alpha and numerals in Your pages.
