Thursday Inspiration: Oasis Die Cuts!

It’s Thursday once again and that means it’s triple the fun! Each Thursday 3 of our Design team members use the same product, whether they are on a scrapbook layout, a Project Life spread, off the page, in a planner or elsewhere. Plus, they all have their own unique style, which means lots of inspiration for you! This week, Jennie, Nicole and Cara have got some fantastic projects using the Oasis Die cuts from Crate Paper which are in the April Main kit. Let’s see what they’ve done!

These die cuts are just beautiful!  From the muted colors and gold foil, I couldn’t wait to get them on my pages.  I had a handful of photos from our recent spring break and I knew that the die cuts would go perfectly with the April Project Life kit and those photos!

First, I layered the die cuts with the exclusive Project Life Cards!

Not only are they beautiful layered on cards, they are also gorgeous layered on photos!

Aren’t the little details just great?  I love how they all work together throughout the whole page!

I just love the idea of using die cuts for the majority of embellishing on a scrapbook layout. It really keeps your choices simple and makes you think outside the box a little too! I opened up my Oasis diecut pack and layered them across my page that I has painted with a little mint green paint ahead of time.

The great thing about the Oasis die cuts is the sizing variety and shape – so many fun choices in one little bundle of happiness! Makes the layering type of scrapbooker super happy to add lots of little bits to your project.

All that is left to do is add in a staple, enamel dot or even a puffy sticker from the kits to add a quick layer to the diecuts to add some fun dimenstion!

I love it when a page comes together with the help of a simple idea and some product that inspires you!

Howdy planner girls! I’ve got a treat this week, I’m in my bullet journal! This is a book that is always tucked into the front elastic of my Traveller’s Notebook. I have pages for routines, dreams and goals, books I’ve read, checklists, monthly plans and others ideas that don’t really have a set deadline. I’m going to use this spread as a spot to put all the things that I would like to do this spring, a sort of Spring Bucket list.

This past weekend I got to meet the amazing Terhi from our Design Team! It was so nice to meet her in person, and she is sweeter, prettier and even more talented in real life, if you can imagine that! I took one of her classes at a event in Paris and in this week’s project, I’ve taken the techniques she taught me and used them in my planner! Yes, you can put mixed media in your planner!

I then took some of the Oasis die cuts with lots of space or lines for writing and arranged them on the pages along with a couple of the Hip Kit Project Life cards that had lines. These are where I will write my spring list so I added them first. Next, I decorated!! I added more die cutes (isn’t that camera the cutest!?!??!) along with washi, stickers from the same Oasis line, acetate shapes and leatherette stickers from Pink Fresh, chipboard from American Crafts and then I added some random bits of stamping with the roller stamp from Vicki Boutin.

To finish off the spread, I took one of the exclusive flair badges, an Oasis button and hot-glued them together, sandwiching a paperclip in between. I took the foam off of the back of the button first to take away any extra bulk.

Happy Planning!
