Oh, how much I love spring and all the fresh flowers, I can’t even say! Today I’m sharing a spring inspired layout with you guys.
I used a gorgeous free cut file from Bea Valint, click here to download it. I cut it out on the mint green fountain cardstock that we get from the cardstock kit; that way I can use up more of the yummy colors. I then colored in the florals using alcohol markers and cut them to how I considered it working best for my layout. I backed random sections with the beautiful papers we get in the March kits.

I love how the colors are flowing down from the florals! I used my own DIY mists for this – nice way to see all the colors that I previously mixed.
I used mint green and aqua colored paint behind my photo; not only does this complementary to orange make the rest of the colors pop, it also defines the overall fresh color range! Do you see that I don’t have a lot of dark blue there? The little bits I have are important to break the scheme a little and add interest.
The dark blue is arranged in the visual triangle; now I must say that I prefer to work intuitively rather than really minding those concepts, but they do work and I think you should give them a try if you’re too insecure to let the mere process take lead of your choices, I know it can be overwhelming!
Isn’t the Dear Lizzy bunny just so adorable? I really wanted to use it despite not having an actual bunny themed picture. But who cares! The Match kits are so whimsical! Give whimsical a try 🙂
