Quiet Day – Alone with You | Renae Bowell

Oh. My. Gosh. I dont know about you, but I L.O.V.E. those adorable Pink Paislee – Paige Evans ephemera pack. The florals are just divine and the entire colour scheme just screams girlish delight! Today’s layout is going to be working with these beautiful florals and using them as the central focus of our embellishment clusters.

As you may have noticed on a few of my layouts, I am a sucker for cut files.. I absolutely love them as they add so much interest to those of us who are mixmediaophobic. This week I used the beautiful floral lace cut file for March, but to add something a little special, I cut it out of vellum. A little tip for using vellum in your Cameo, make sure your carrier sheet is less tacky. I find when I use a brand new sheet, my cut seems to rip and just tear when I try to get it off. Less tackiness = success!! I save one of my older carrier sheets just for vellum. Its amazing! You cant see it very well in the image, but I am sure you will be able to see it a little better in the video. If only you could see it in real life.

I think I love this collection so much because it adds three of my most favourite colours together and off sets them with another of my faves. Pink, mint and periwinkle blue.. Oh my gosh those colours just sing to me.. Add in that beautiful chartreuse green/yellow and you have an absolute winner.

I also added an extra cut file into the layers of this beautiful layout.. The leaves and ferns of the You and Me cut file are just delightful and absolutely gorgeous to add layers to you floral clusters. This file is going to be a staple in a lot of my designs.

I created dreamy layers between the flowers and embellishments but adding in double doilies, thats right, you heard me, DOUBLE doilies, and of course a little bit of vellum. I love having really soft layers behind my photo and bringing the brightness forward with beautiful ephemera. It really allows your photo and the extra embellishments to shine.

Sprinkled with those beautiful enamel dots and some of my own Kaisercraft rhinestones and you have a completed layout. I also dabbed a few of those amazing rubber charms and puffy stickers just to add in some extra interest and dimension. Thank you so much for stopping by lovelies, I would love to see your flower cluster layouts! Please show me!

Love Always,

Nae xoxo
