Hi everyone! Jessica here today with another layout from my 2016 album. This week has some fun outdoor/beachy photos that add a nice blue, but if you know me, I personally think every layout looks better with some pink in it.
I liked the offset of gray since I felt like black would be too harsh, but couldn’t find an alpha that I liked to go over this pretty Pink Paislee paper from the January Paper Kit. I decided to break out my silhouette and cut out my title, then use a dark cardstock as the background color.
To add an extra embellishment to the card from the January Project Life kit, I used a heart washi strip and a Pink Paislee puffy sticker from the Embellishment Kit to add some extra pink to the blue card.
Since there is zero pink in any of my photos, I feel like I need to overcompensate by adding pink in every filler card. I used a gray woodgrain card and added the letters “HAPPY” from the ephemera pack. To add a bit of darkness (to match the card on the far right), I added another puffy sticker in the middle.
Finally, I used this gorgeous flower card that I’d be hoarding a bit and added another puffy sticker (I like to add things in three’s) and called it done.
I love the finished result! Do you ever add colors to your layouts when they aren’t anywhere to be found in photos?
See you next time!
