Hello Hip Kits fans! It’s Zinia to with another layout I created using the gorgeous December 2016 hip kits.

One of my most favorite products that were included in the December kits is the Amy Tangerine Thicker Phrases pack. I really love the font and the size and all the cute words that are included. So I decided to play around with it and have some fun.

I placed a few of the words on a piece of plastic and I used my watercolors to paint a gradient from pink to purple to blue to mint. I wasn’t really precise with it, I just kept adding color and brushing it on till it blends nicely. In the end I had to dab off a few areas that had some excess color to help the drying process.

Once the thickers were relatively dry, I moved them on my page. I decided to work on white cardstock and create a light and fresh page. The ombre thickers are going to cover the left side of my page and then on the right I created a fun cluster of embellishments.

I tried to use a bunch of my favorite embellishments from the December kits. I cut a piece of the glitter ribbon that came in the Embellishment kit and I created a wavy banner. I also added one of the exclusive flair buttons and some of the adorable mini tassels to add extra dimension.

Above that I placed my photo and I layered a few piece of paper behind it. I also added some tabs and tags to peek from the side.

I really enjoyed creating a lighter page than usual. It really helps the thickers pop and makes the whole design look beautiful.
