Cut File Number Strips | Zinia Amoiridou

Hello scrappy friends! It’s Zinia here with a fun layout using the November 2016 hip kits.

So I had this idea for a while now and with the end of 2016 I found the perfect opportunity to use it. I designed some 3×4 number cut files for December, which you can find with all the other free cut files on the Hip Kits shop, so I decided to use them and cut 12″ long strips with numbers on the edge to use as my title “2016”.

The main thing you need to keep in mind is that each number will be on top of a pattern so you want to be careful with the patterns you chose. Preferably go for subtle designs and make sure each paper has a contrasting color to the paper next to it. This will help your numbers pop.

Once I had that base set, everything else was a matter of embellishing. I chose two black and white photos to go at the sides of my page and then I finished my title using the gorgeous silver glitter thickers from the November 2016 Embellishment kit and some pieces from the Hip Kit club exclusive die cut pieces and puffy stickers.

To help my photos pop I used some ephemera pieces from the Crate Paper “Snow and Cocoa” collection and also some of the exclusive number die cuts that came in the 2016 December Documented kit.

I also used a few of the exclusive vellum stars and washi strips from theĀ Embellishment kit.
