Hello to all of you amazing people!
It’s Zinia here again and this time I have some December Daily pages to share with you. I started working on my album a bit later than I was expecting but I’m hoping to rush through the days after I print the rest of my photos.
So let’s get down to business. The album I use is the Simple Stories 6×8 album that came as an add-on for the December Documented 2016 kit. I’m trying to keep a minimalistic approach to make sure I will not abandon this project before it’s completely finished. This way I can finish more days every time I sit and scrap.
To decorate the cover of my album, I masked around a strip to add a bit of the “Foiled Again” Dazzlerz paste that came in the November 2016 Color Kit. I actually mixed the dazzling paste with some matte gel medium to dull the sparkle a tiny bit and have a more subtle effect.
Then I used a puffy sticker, the silver glitter thickers that came in the November 2016 Embellishment kit and one of the gold dimensional stars by American Crafts.
Inside my album I used one of the Hip Kit Club exclusive papers that came in the November Main Kit to create my inner cover page. Again I kept things simple and I just added a couple of tags and paper pieces.
For my pocket spreads I had a really hard time picking embellishments cause I simply loved everything that came in the kits last month. I used the exclusive number die-cut pieces that came in the December Documented kit and a bunch of the exclusive Hip Kit cards. I also cut a couple of the papers from the Main kit to make my own cards.
I tried to place my cards so I can use both sides on my spreads. I loved them so much that I didn’t really want to waste any of their gorgeous sides.
For my last pocket, I played with the Color Kit again and I added the “Foiled Again” Dazzlerz on a piece of vellum using the Echo Park stencil that also came in the November Color Kit.
I really love adding little touches of mixed media in my pockets to make everything a bit more artsy, whimsical and unique.
