Family Pocket Pages & Dreamscape Layout | Zinia Amoiridou

Hello everyone! It’s Zinia here with two fun projects to share with you, using the October 2016 hip kits.

The first one is a themed 6×8 pocket page spread I created about family. I got inspired but all the little household images that are in the “Honey I’m Home” collection embellishments from the October 2016 Main & Embellishment kit.

On the left hand side, I used two cards from the cut apart paper from the Main kit. Both those cards were 4×6 but I cut them down to fit into my spread. I also cut out the banners that come in the cut apart sheet and used them as embellishments to cover up some part of the card that wasn’t relevant to my theme.

Those cards were actually already pretty so I didn’t need to work a lot on embellishing. To fill the first pocket, I layered a few pieces from the Dear Lizzy “Saturday” ephemera pack that came in the October 2016 Main kit.

For the right side, I used a 2×2 page protector and filled all the pockets with small embellishments. I thought this was a great way to make use of those embellishments as I find them to hard to use on a traditional scrapbook layout.

The second project I want to share with you is a scrapbook layout I created, again inspired by some products that felt a bit challenging to use.

So in this layout, I used he donuts and little circles from the Dear Lizzy “Saturday” ephemera as well as the knit-themed puffy stickers from the “Honey I’m Home” collection that came in the Embellishment kit this month.

I had this photo of my dog laying upside down on the couch. She was actually asleep when I snapped my camera but until I had everything prepared to take a picture, she was already curiously looking at me.

So I wanted to make a layout inspired by dreams. My starting point was to create a row of grey buildings and add bright blasts of color coming from behind and have a bunch of circles floating around.

Everything pretty much went according to the initial plan. I added a few extra buildings by cutting out one of the cut files I designed for October just to fill in the gaps. Also in addition to every circular embellishment from the kit, I also punched some circles from one of the Dear Lizzy papers.

It was really a very easy and fun layout to put together. It took some time to fussy cut the buildings but everything else was super simple and quick.

I really hope you enjoyed these projects and got inspired to create something fun with your October 2016 kits. Make sure to stop by the HKC Facebook page and the HKC Member Forum for even more inspiration.

Until next time, happy scrapping🙂
