Can you believe tomorrow is Halloween? I can’t! To me, Halloween really kicks off and sets the tone for the rest of the year’s holidays.
I wanted to get the most of my October kits and see if I could pair the colors to work for this particular holiday. The green in the project life cards was a perfect start so I used that as my inspiration for the rest of the layout.
From there, I pulled the midnight textured card stock to use as my title card along with the copper thickers to spell “BOO”.
I was challenged to use stickers and I happily accepted. These cute clear stickers from Simple Stories add the perfect accent to my story without having to run the cards through the printer.
What Halloween would be complete without dressing their dog up? I tried a few different outfits, but he would only settle for wearing a bandana. For the card to the left of him, I used one of the project life cards, a few stickers and the record player ephemera to complete that card.
To keep the spread balanced, I took the same dark card stock and cut out a tag to add my journaling. I adhered it to the So Sweet black and white patterned paper (I felt like it might have passed for vintage spooky in the right context). A bit of green ephemera and that card was done.
Finally, since there is a lot going on with the rest of the page, I kept my final card pretty simple. I just added a bit of black scallop to the green project life and considered it done.
Hope you have a happy and safe Halloween! Keep an eye out for a process video later this week!
Oh fun and sweet!
