My first layout uses Simple Stories and Maggie Holmes products, I started by doing a bit of mixed media on the   by using Heidi Swapp gold paste and the stencil from the Color kit.  I used three small photos and placed them inside the frames after I cut out the interior with my craft knife.

I fussy cut those gorgeous blue flowers from one of the Maggie Holmes papers, placing them around the photo area and embellishing with a bit of gold thread, Bradz and word stickers.
I added a few more of the frames along the bottom left of the layout as a secondary focal point, adding those adorable hearts I fussy cut from a project life card and a few Simple Stories embellishments.

To tie in the gold near the photos I machine stitched with gold thread, adding more texture to the page.
I adore these Maggie Holmes gold word stickers!  So many choices.

I used both Maggie Holmes alphas and Thickers for my title and added the journaling to the right.

Other small details like Bradz and Simple Stories die cuts finish up the page.

My second project is a gift tag created for a dear friend’s upcoming birthday.  I used the stencil and the same Heidi Swapp paste and continued the gold color scheme with the Maggie Holmes word stickers.

Die cuts from Maggie Holmes were the basis of my project, trimming some of the pieces into a tag shape and punching a hole at the top of each piece to tie them together with ribbon from my stash.  I finished with one paper tassel.
Thanks for checking out my first two projects for Hip Kit Club using the September 2016 kits!
