Hey everyone, Raquel here today sharing a new layout using the August Hip Kits. I just love these kits, they are so bright and fun and contain some of my favourite brands and products. My focus for todays post is ‘lots of photos’ so I decided to document some of the many selfies that my daughter and I have taken together recently. 

The yellow Dear Lizzy thickers title was perfect for this layout as it adds a great pop of colour and fit perfectly within my design. 

The journaling and story of this page documents how much my daughter loves taking selfies with me and how I love it too. I do not get in many photos and mainly the only photos I am in is selfies, lol. So all these pictures we get together are so important. 

I worked on a vertical type design and created three main clusters on the page which if you join them together form a visual triangle. For this cluster on the bottom right corner I incorporated a wood veneer from the Cute Girl collection, some puffy stickers from the cute girl collection, exclusive ephemera, Dear Lizzy stickers and a few My Minds Eye enamel dots. I love mixing textures within my clusters. 

I have added the wood veneer in three places on the page, again forming a triangle. How cute is the wood crown on my daughters head? I thought it was perfect! Being a selfie page I added the clear camera sticker from the Amy Tan sticker book too. 

The cluster at the top right of the page was a little more simple. I added the Cute Girl cloud, an ephemera piece and wood veneer butterfly. 

I loved the statements in the clear Dear Lizzy sticker set. They add that lovely contrast against the white card stock and really pop off the page. 

The photos are printed four to a page on a 4×6″ sheet of photo paper. I print my photos at home, so using various size photos is nice and easy. I matted the photos with papers from the Cute Girl collection by Crate Paper, have I said how much I love that collection yet?
