Cara here, planner girl extraordinaire!
Shaker dashboards really scream planner girl, don’t they!! This one is a mini shaker that I made with two of the Heidi Swapp chipboard frames from the Project Life kit.
I made a plastic pocket with some leftover page protectors and my fuse tool, added the HKC Exclusive Acrylic Dots from the Embellishment kit. At first I thought they might be too thick, but they worked out perfectly.
For extra pizzazz, I stuck in two PL cards trimmed down and glued back to back. These were in the Project Life kit. Then, I sealed the top with my fuse.
The frames were also stuck back to back, sandwiching the shaker pocket in with hot glue, but first to get the dashboard to fit in my happy planner I used a piece of plastic backing from last month’s enamel dots, those things never last long in my studio so I have lots of empty sheets! 😉
I trimmed it to size and it was also sandwiched between the frames along with the shaker pocket when gluing. Then I punched some disk holes. You can use regular hole punches if you have a ring planner.
It can lay inside the planner anywhere, including peeking out the top for a bookmark.
For the planner spread, I punched little boxes from the fabulous papers from the Main Kit.
That floral one from Simple Stories may be my favourite thing from all of the July kits 😉 The others are divine as well, I used 2 of the exclusive papers from Kim Watson and the Paige Evans 04 from Pink Paislee. I layered some of the exclusive die cuts also from the Main kit and indulged in something lumpy along the side… a chipboard sticker from Project Life that is fittingly found in the Project Life kit 😉
The clip below is that darling camera flair from the Embellishment kit!! LOVE it! Flair clips are so fun, I hot glued a paper clip to the back and covered it with a circle punched from one of the patterned papers.
