Hey everyone! I’m here today with another layout that I created using the May 2016 Hip Kits. The May kits are just so good I almost want to hoard every piece, lol! This week, I’m focusing on photos and here’s what I came up with…

Recently, I decided that it was time to update my social media profile pictures so that meant a little selfie photo session with my phone, ha ha! I used three of my favorites on this layout and layered them on top of a triangular-shaped piece of patterned paper from the Meadowbrook collection (an HKC exclusive!). I placed the triangular piece on top of the Healthy Hello Soup patterned paper from Jillibean Soup that’s available in the May 2016 Main Kit to help tone down the busy pattern.

I used the diagonal cut on the right side of the triangular piece to embellish and layer lots of Meadowbrook die cuts, along with some Summer Party enamel dots from Echo Park and Navy Blueberry self adhesive sequins from Jillibean Soup, which are available in the May 2016 Embellishment Kit.

I placed one of my photos in a Life In Color chipboard frame from Simple Stories and adhered one of the Meadowbrook acrylic arrows (available in the May 2016 Embellishment Kit) on top for added dimension.

I used the “love” sentiment from the May 2016 background cut file designed by Ashley Horton available here and placed the “selfie” die cut next to it for my title “Selfie Love”.

Since I usually only scrap photos of my kids, it was a nice change to use some of my own selfie’s for this page so I hope I’ve inspired you to focus on photos of yourself for your next layout or creation!
