Hello crafty people! It’s Jen Schow and I’m here to share a few more projects using the May Hip Kits. I made a layout and then used the leftover bits for a little bonus project!
Maybe the best thing in the kits this month are the exclusive papers and die cuts. I mean, come on. SO GOOD. I knew that I needed to use this paper for a background and it works perfectly with this photo of my daughter.

I added a bit of ink using the ever popular “smooshing” technique and then layered up some of the flowers from the die cut package below my photo to help anchor it.

I created my title by cutting the word “Hello” out from a 4×6 card in the Project Life kit and I freehand cut the word “Sun” from patterned paper. There was a little bit of the “Hello” card left over that seemed too good to waste, so I made a bookmark out of it!

Summer break is coming up around here and I want to encourage my daughter to keep reading, so I thought this would be the perfect thing tucked into a new book to start the summer off right. 🙂

I hope you’ll try using your leftover bits to make something awesome! You can see how I put both of these projects together in my process video.
