Happy Tuesday everyone! Anita here today to share two projects. The first is a planner page. I’m trying something new this week. I recently received a day-on-one-page Day Designer Planner at a conference I attended and wanted to try it out. I usually make ridiculously long to-do lists every day (in a notebook outside of my weekly planner) so I thought I would test this page design to house my lists.
I used bits and pieces from the April 2016 Hip Kits including the Shimelle stickers from the Project Life Kit, die cuts from the Main Kit and a Pinkfresh Studio printed washi strip from the Embellishment Kit. I customized the various boxes at the top of the page using the Shimelle letter stickers and then used other decorative stickers and word strips to decorate the rest of my page. I love how it turned out and look forward to using this as my To Do list for the day!
The second project I’m sharing today is a Project Life spread. We recently had friends visit us from New York City and we had a great time taking them around the Tampa Bay area. We took lots of photos and I chose some favorites to represent our time together. Since there were so many pretty blues in my photos, I selected several items from the April 2016 Hip Kits with blues in them.
The blue project life card designed by Kim Watson was absolutely perfect for my photos and I also cut up some of the patterned paper in the Main Kit by Amy Tangerine and Elle’s Studio to fill the other pockets. I’m generally a very “flat” scrapper and don’t heavily embellish my pages but the My Mind’s Eye wood veneer pieces in the Project Life Kit seemed like just the right touch to finish off my pages. Those wood sunglasses are so cute and perfectly represent the hot, sunny days we are having right now. I added some typed journaling on the left side to recap our adventures and here is the final spread.
Thanks so much for looking and have a great week!
