Circles, Letters, Paris – Bea Valint

Hi everyone! It’s Bea here sharing two layouts with you today that I created using the ‪April 2016‬ ‪of Hip Kit Club!

As soon as I saw the cardstock kit I knew I had to create a layout based on it. I loved this yellow-turquoise-pink color combination!  This page is all about colors, vibration and fun!

My husband took these photos on a Saturday afternoon, you know, when all children are with the grandparents, and you put your favourite dress and lipstick on, take your hubby’s hand and step out into the night! 🙂 untitled-7830

Before I begin with my scrapping process, I will make a habit to go through all the papers & products so that I can carefully choose the right elements to include onto my layout. I decided to cut out circles from the cardstock papers and mix up the different colors and sizes.

cutI used my Silhouette Cameo for this project, but you can use your Sizzix or any circle cutter. (if you click here you can download this cut file)

I choose a dark background from my January Kit to add more contrast to my circles. To create dimensions to the circles, adhered foam dots at the bottom.  It can be a good way for featuring your picture to add a closer shot on you layout too. Lastly, I incorporated stickers & a couple of wood veneer shapes to complete the layout.

My other page features a large photo as the focal point.

In the April Kit you can find a lot of letter stickers, which are so fun to add to a layout!  Mixing the different letters, gives a playful feel!

I wanted to place a ‘French’ symbol on my pic, so I decided to stitch a little Eiffel tower to the bottom. I find a sketch on the internet, and just printed it onto the white vellum paper. I placed it on my picture and pierced both of them through.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you will try my idea of adding circle elements to your projects. Have a great crafting day 🙂
