How to Get Your Scrapbook Club Organized
Staying organized as a scrapbook club member makes every crafting session more productive and enjoyable. When your supplies are sorted, your workspace is tidy, and your kits are easy to access, you spend more time creating and less time searching. Whether you just joined a kit club or have been a member for years, getting your scrapbook club organized starts with a few simple habits that keep your creative space ready for action.
This is my first blog post as a new member of the Hip Kit Design Team and I am so excited! I wanted to first introduce myself and talk a little bit about my scrappy life and how I like to get started on my creative projects! First, my name is Andrea Bethke, I’m a scrappy Latina from Southern California.
I have the most amazing and supportive hubby, named Ryan, an adorable puppy, named Leeloo, and I’m passionate about photography, scrapbooking, crafting, memory keeping, art, diy, and all things cute and creative!
I have a serious condition called CRPS which causes me to be in pain everyday and sometimes I can’t walk or get out of bed, but I’m always counting my blessings and I try to live my “life as a fairytale” which is my motto and the name of my blog!
Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.
I believe that you write your own happily ever after and you do so by making wonderful memories, documenting them, and creating beautiful things!

On that note, I’m so happy because I just got my Hip Kit Club kits for April! Since I just, just got them, I haven’t had a chance to make any fun things yet (although I’m itching to get scrappin), but I wanted to share with you how I get started on my creative projects — i.e. how I prep and get organized.

The first thing I do when I get new goodies to play with is to organize and put away the product in a place that is easy to access and highly visible. I like to use clear 12×12 containers a lot. But I also have these awesome wooden organizers that my super fantastic, Prince Charming, hubby made for me! They are so pretty but also helpful since they make organizing easy which makes working on my projects easy as well!

After I unboxed my beautiful Hip Kits for April, I put everything away in my wooden organizer. Bigger items like paper in the back, smaller things like embellishments towards the front. The best thing about it, is that when I do get to creating with the kits, I can jump right in and not have to worry about trying to find anything (or about putting anything away)! Plus I can move this little organizer over to my bedroom on the days when I’m stuck in bed…p.j.s and scrapping plus a sweet organizer filled with Hip Kit goodies…who’s up for a pajama party?

Okay, goodbye for now and I hope I inspired you to get organized! 🙂

Tips for Staying Organized as a Scrapbook Club Member
- Sort each monthly kit into labeled bags or bins by type – papers, stickers, embellishments, stamps – so you can find what you need quickly.
- Keep a dedicated shelf or drawer for your current kit so it stays separate from older supplies and is always within reach.
- Set up a small, consistent workspace with your most-used tools – trimmer, adhesive, scissors – ready to go at all times.
- Plan your projects before you start by pulling photos and sketching a rough layout, so your crafting time stays focused and productive.
- Save leftover kit pieces in a scraps bin organized by color or theme to use for future cards, tags, and embellishment clusters.
