Hi everyone today marks my last post on the Hip Kit team. It has been such a great experience and I consider myself lucky to have been part of this team. It’s time to free up some of my creative time for travel + life this summer. I’ll still be here watching and cheering on all the Hip fans and new design team.
In this layout I decided to make the title a major focal point. I altered the cut file by Nicole Nowosad a bit so that I could just use the work “lucky”. I cut it out of watercolor paper and then added a nice wash of aqua watercolor to it.
The overall design is pretty simple and clean. With a title that is so large, I wanted to keep everything else on a smaller scale. The scattering of Pinkfresh Studios’ wood veneer adds just the right amount of color and movement. I love the way it looks like it’s raining flowers. Small enamel dots add texture to the center.
Sewn strips of journaling and a few layers of patterned paper right in the center, finish off the design. I also added a large triangle corner of patterned paper from Pinkfresh Studio for some color and linear stripes.
My favorite part by far, was creating this title. The awesome script (thank you Nicole!) looks beautiful here and frames out a favorite photo.
The March kit is chock full of fresh designs and color. You can’t go wrong with any of the choices!
A lovely post to end on a great note <3
