Happy Thursday, friends!  Missy here with you, and I have another layout to share today using the 2016 January Hip Kits!  The Crate Paper black and white striped paper was perfect for these photos…they match my daughter’s shirt perfectly.  I used a big piece of the CP dotted paper behind that, and I did mixed media work on top of it.  I started with some white gesso and then added some teal spray ink using the packaging technique.  I used a ton of Crate Paper embellishments on this.  I used one of the fun layered tags, a wood veneer, stickers, chipboard, and I fussy cut those cute X & Os at the top.  That vellum “hello” die cut is just one of a few words you can get in the Embellishment Kit.

The Heidi Swapp Gold Texture Paste in the Color Kit worked perfectly on this wood veneer.  I just used my finger to smudge it on, and it gave some great texture and sparkle.  I used my teal spray ink and a gelato to color the bigger heart.  I added a few Crate Paper arrows and that cute gold glitter heart sticker.  Those cute acrylic teal confetti circles are exclusive this month in the Embellishment Kit.  They’re gorgeous!

Are these the cutest alpha puffy stickers or what?  They’re Heidi Swapp, and they are fabulous.  I love how the letters look like they are connected.  Those little Studio Calico alphas are so fun, and there are a ton of them in the pack.  I used black thread and my sewing machine to stitch that big heart around my photos.

I fussy cut these letters from one of the Crate Paper papers, and I layered a few stickers on top.  I also added some tiny heart stickers all around the layout.

I added a cute My Mind’s Eye brad to that heart die cut and added a pop dot to raise it up.  I also added some black tangled thread under the corners of my photos.

Here’s a look at my process if you’d like to see how this layout came together.  I hope you enjoy!

Thank you so much for watching and stopping by today!
