Hey, friends! Missy back with you today. I’m sharing another layout using the gorgeous 2016 January Hip Kits! I decided to go bold with this one and start with the black and white striped paper from Crate Paper. I enlarged two of Nicole’s cut files and made them the focus of my page. I used some white gesso on my background before adding some of the Pucker Up Pink Dazzlerz from the Color Kit as well as a few other paints from previous Color Kits. I backed the big XO with patterned paper and my photo and hand-stitched around it. I added pop dots and added a few embellishments around it.
Here you can see the awesome texture from the Shimmerz and paints. You can get so many pretty shades by mixing colors! The pop dots I added behind the XO die cut really gives it dimension. That cute butterfly is a puffy sticker from Crate Paper. I did a lot of hand stitching here, and even though it took some time, the end result is worth it.
I created a fun cluster with some of the My Mind’s Eye chipboard buttons here. I also added in a chipboard flower and some of the Heidi Swapp shiny gold clear stickers.
I traced around the big “love” die cut with a black pen to make it pop a bit more, and I used gold thread to machine stitch through those cute teal Thickers. Those shiny gold hearts are from the Crate Paper chipboard sheet.
More Crate Paper goodness here! A few stickers layered together create a beautiful cluster.
