Good morning, friends! Brenda Smith here today. I have been working a lot on the foundation pages in my December Documented album and have several to share with you today. If you’d like to see my previous pages, you can find them here.
I’m trying to keep my foundation pages fairly simple, but I also try to add in things that are fun and interactive like this pocket I stitched together to hold some tags. Depending on what memory gets documented here, I’ll either put journaling or pictures on the tags.
I put reinforcement circles on the backside of the tags so that I can use the tags for this side of the spread as well.
I cut down some white printer paper to put in the blank spots where I’ll put photos just to help me envision what will go where.
I trimmed the “peace” from a Pinkfresh Studio paper and adhered to a kraft bag from my stash. I added a border from the branding strip of a Basicgrey paper and a gold foil sticker from Pinkfresh.
The insert pocket in the middle is 2×8 with four 2×2 squares. I trimmed it down from a full-sized page protector.
With pockets that I’m uncertain of what I wish to do, I’m just adding pieces of printer paper to them and will default to a full-sized photo there unless I feel inspired to go in a different direction.
For the long strip of patterned paper, I imagine myself cutting a strip of vellum to cover it and perhaps typing the journaling on it.
Have you been working with the December Documented kit and the November kits? Come on over to our Members Facebook group and show us what you’re doing. We’d love to see!
