Morning friends!! I hope your week has gotten off to a great start?

Today I have a new page to share with you, using the last of my fabulous October Hip Kits. The kits were so jammed with ephemera & die cuts & I felt like I had hardly dented them, even after having already created 4 pages with them; so thought I’d go huge on this page.  I decided to really layer on the embellishments, especially knowing that they wouldn’t  match the style of the November kits (which I am hoping I will be getting any day now…the waiting it killing me LOL!)

When designing this page, I wanted to use up loads of embellishments & accents but still leaving enough space for a chunk of handwritten journaling without being too busy. I did this by creating a cascade of elements top & bottom of the photo.

Fanning out the elements slightly, creates movement & space and adding little wood veneer accents, breaks up the sea of die cuts…helping the design breathe.

Adding secondary titles following the curves of the circles creates gorgeous interest & the photo of charcoal help complete the visual triangle.

x2 striped paper strips ground the design nicely & anchor my titles both sides of the photo & little wood veneer couple.
