Dream with You | Kim Watson

Happy Saturday friends!!

Today I am excited to share with you another page using the gorgeous August kits! & add-ons! I am scrapping about my anniversary which was on Thursday, what better way to capture it than with some of the beautiful Pink Fresh Studio products found in the August main kit & the August Embellishment add-on kit. And the Hip Kit Club bow stencil, water-color pencils from the April color-add on kit & Ranger – Dylusions Paints found in the August color kit add-on

Inspired by the acetate patterned triangles from Pink Fresh, I created a page using them as the main focal point. By positioning them top & bottom of the page and machining them in place. They create a fabulous frame & draw one’s eye towards the photograph, title & sentiments.

Before placing the photo cluster on the background page, I added a little paint work onto the white cardstock. The effect is soft, feminine & compliments the Pink Fresh Studio papers & stickers perfectly.

For my journaling I decided to run it vertically along the right hand edge of the page against the paper strips. Doing it like this helps the hand written journaling become part of the actual page design, it adds great texture & interest to an otherwise very white area on the page.

If you are curious how I added the bow details to my layout, see below for the instructions:

  1. Grab a selection of water-color crayons & fine paint brush.
  2. Using the bow stencil from the August color kit add-on, scatter some bow shapes in different colors around your page.
  3. Using a little water on your brush, paint over the crayon for a water-color effect.

I love how all the elements of this page make it extra special, which is so fitting for page theme. I really hope you found this helpful! Remember, we have a great Hip Kit Member Forum frequented by super, supportive & encouraging crafters. I urge you to share your work using your Hip Kits for us all to enjoy. Join up today!
