Welcome to Friday with Wendy! I am sharing a few pages I created with the August kits this week.
I loved the dark cardstock and the yellow Simple Stories paper and since I was multi-tasking (yet again), I tried some of my scraps from another project and loved the combos. To fit all the papers on this layout that I was drawn too, I chose to use strips of them, a little bit haphazard (kinda like kids).
I needed a little pop, so I chose a few red/pink embellishments to grab your eye and draw it to my picture.
My next page has the similar strip technique. I didn’t know how to use the washi tape included in the Embellishment add-on as it was too see through. My first thought was to mount it on white cardstock and then cut the rectangles out for use on something. But then it looked so cool all lined up on the paper so I created a complete background with it.
I trimmed off the extra cardstock and mounted it on the hot pink cardstock for some girly pop. To help my picture stand out (I tried bigger pictures, but I really liked the look this gave) I used a doily to quiet the area then added in a few embellishments.
And then some sparkly gold for a title to make the final impact!
And now on to Week 2 of my Project Life using the August kits.
Between the Collect app and Hip Kits amazing Project Life cards memory keeping can be completed in a few short minutes!
Gotta run, see you again next week!
What fun and awesome pages and pocket page!! So cute and so impressive the way you used the pieces of this kit!! Wendy, you are such a genius scrapper!!
