July meets August| Terhi Koskinen

Hello Hip Kit Club Fans! It’s Terhi here today with some July Kit cards and first layout made with gorgeous August Kits. I thought about simple ways to create cards – I’m more a memory keeper and scrapbooker than cardmaker, but as I love playing with papers and doing crafts, it’s obvious that I love to give handmade cards for friends birthdays and so.

Heidi Swapp’s stamp and stencil set in July Color Kit was perfect for creating easy and fast cards. I made three cards, one with lime green Distress Ink, one with coral Dabber Paint and one with black ink. But techniques and layers are same in each one and that made the process really simple. Enjoy the video!

After playing with sunny July Kit colors, harmony feeling of August Kits felt really welcomed. For once, I took only August Main Kit to create my first August layout. Background is created with older stencil and PanPastels, flower stencil is from May Color Kit. I picked the colors from the photograph, grey and pink goes great together and tiny pop of teal green makes the layout calm.

As said, I played with flower stencils on the background. I wanted to keep on the flower theme, and found my very first bunch I’ve ever bought. How fun what that! Cutting machines are very trendy at the moment, but as I don’t own one, old stash can be useful as well. We have some free cut files available for Hip Kit Club Members, join our Facebook Member Forum to learn more and load your files!

Hope you liked my cards and layout, next week I’m back with another scrapbook layout tutorial. Thank you so much for popping in today.

Terhi xx
