Happy Saturday friends!!
I am excited to share my very first page using the awesome July kits. It has been ages since I have played with October afternoon products…& I LOVED it. The papers are so much fun…with great colors & fresh designs.
Good Times Summer by Kim Watson
I was having a hard time deciding on which papers to use for this page…so solved the problem by using some of all of them 😀 The yellow background compliments them so nicely, & reinforces the summer feeling I was trying to capture.
Simple Stories adorable chipboard frame pack was calling to be used. With all the funky patterns & bright color combinations, they were perfect to help the photographs really stand out on the page. Rows of vertical stitching gives the panels emphasis & texture.
I tried to group the accents, paper patterns, frames & washi tape by color. Although not a true ombre effect, the definite color groupings of bright/ pink, blue & neutrals give the page a great modern vibe.
The extra thick Crate paper chipboard stickers are so great! Not only are the designs fun, but they add divine dimension to areas of the page, helping lift some of the layers.
This would also be a fun technique to try with any leftover paper pieces from your kits. I hope you’ve found this idea inspiring? Make sure you check back next Saturday. It was super to have you join me!
