Baby, we are so in LOVE with you| Kim Watson

Hello crafty friends…I hope you are enjoying your Saturday so far?

I have one last page to share using my March 2015 kit. I thought I’d try scrapping some old photos. Sometimes it is great to use photos out of chronological sequence, it not only adds freshness to my albums but it means there will thankfully be a few more modern looking pages of the early years in my sons life. The ones in there currently were some of the first scrapbook pages I ever did…& if I am truly honest, as much as I love the photos, the pages themselves are just horrible hahaha!

It is dimensional & great to look at as well as a super way to use paper off-cuts. NOTE: the resin flower & flair are from my older stash & not included in the kit.
Kim Watson+So in love with you+HK02Mixing color and black & white photos on a page, is a lovely way to add visual interest. I can’t believe how little my baby boy was…AND how long my hair was. Looking back, I remember these days being as hard, especially having a reflux baby in the house. They hold a special place in my heart because the extra time we spent caring for him through his distress, created a special bond between us.
Kim Watson+So in love with you+HK03The Minds Eye Stickers sheets & Elle’s Studio wood veneer, make layering a cinch. I love how the soft colors against the gorgeous woodgrain paper, really compliment the black & white photo perfectly.
Kim Watson+So in love with you+HK05Lastly the title. When looking through the embellishments in this kit, the large chipboard word LOVE, really stood out. I decided it would best be used as a long conversational title. So teamed up with sticker alphas, printed chipboard alphas & chipboard die cuts this was the result. Stitching, and a scattering of hearts finish it off nicely.

Thanks so much for joining me this afternoon, I hope you have a wonderful rest of your Saturday! I am off to make party decor for an 11year old Rainbow party…so wish me luck.
