Chalk Imagination | Patricia Roebuck

Sometimes layouts need a re-do.  But be sure to salvage any precious parts that can be re-purposed.  That is what I did with the top piece of pattern paper with the stitching.  I had new inspiration right when I was about to clean off the March Kits scattered all over my messy desk, and everything came together so much better the second time.

I used the navy cardstock from the March Cardstock Kit and the green paint dabber from the March Color Kit and large circle stencil and let dry.  Cut that piece out and tucked under the stitched pink pattern paper.   Then cutting along the plus signs of the pink pattern paper, to form a larger plus sign, I cut a piece from the vellum from the March Main Kit to stitch on top.

Then I tucked in more pieces of pattern paper, fussy cuts of pattern paper, labels, and the layered the clear My Mind’s Eye frame from the Embellishment kit and added part of my title, “CHALK,” on top.  I stitched ‘imagination’ to the bottom of these layers.

For the top half of the layout, I added sequins from the March pocket page kit, and die cuts from the March Embellishment kit and chipboard from the Main kit.

Because I had my layout created already, I added my journaling by hand.  So glad I started off with a not so good layout to create the perfect layout for this photo and story.  Thank you for joining me!
