Answered Prayers with Wendy

Wendy here today sharing my next layout I made with the overly stuffed February kits 🙂  I chose to go with a linear design for this page, but I added some interest by adding some embellishments vertically, making things a little out of the box.  I find that many times you can take a standard design, such as a grid, block, linear, etc… and add your personal touch and you can take a layout from blah to awesome in minutes.

I chose the green paper (from the Main kit) first to match the greenery in my pictures.  My camera (from the embellishment kit) was the next piece.  I liked the white hand drawn triangle piece because it allowed my pictures to rest a bit.  Since my page was about my family I added in a touch of the heart paper.  I am really enjoying the 6×6 pad in the embellishment kit, it allows for great layering without cutting into my precious 12×12 paper!  Some bright colors spiced up the black/white papers adding some energy to the page.

I also wanted to share this page that I made for the last weekend challenge.  I had already started the page before the challenge was issued, but it was lacking direction.  I chose the teal tape, blue letter stickers, and pops of the orange/red to fit the challenge and add some color to the page (found in the main kit and embellishment kit).  I scattered some stars to lead the eye from the top left to the bottom right as you will find in many of my pages, I’m kinda stuck on diagonals 🙂

I love to use my scraps in other places, I call it multi-tasking.

Thanks for joining me today, see you next week with some more inspiration!
