Hey Scrappers! Ashley here to share a bright and super fun layout with you all! When I received our June Hip Kits one of the things that stood out were the Heidi Swapp stencils in our June Color Add-On Kit, I knew right away that I was going to use those on a background that focused on mixed-media techniques.
This layout is inspired by Christin Gronnslett who creates her own backgrounds for many of her layouts. I started with gesso and some spray-mists then… used a watercolor brush to spread the color. I used a make-up sponge and Archival black ink with the Heidi Swapp stencils.
Then I began to layer—I matted my photo on two different papers from the kit and embellished away using Elle Studio wood veneer, Studio Calico transparencies, and Echo Park stickers. Lastly, I added a splash of (more) color using the Elle Studio stamp set with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink included in our June Stamp Add-On Kit. I hope you all enjoy this layout!
