Today I am sharing a fun layout & card by Cindy Stevens using our August 2013 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits. Cindy incorporates flag banners into each project to give some texture and a pop of color.Cindy cut two strips from the Crate Paper Heat Wave chevron patterned paper and created two wide flag banners that she layered underneath her photo onto a neutral background. Notice that she flipped the banners so that one had blue and the top and the other had pink at the top. This variation helps to guide the eye from the top of the page to the bottom. She balanced her layout by embellishing it with several colorful stickers, some enamel dots and mist splatters.The flag banners on her card give her sentiment a nice foundation while giving her card extra texture. Cindy stamped the “Hello There” sentiment using the Elle’s Studio Saltwater Stamp Set from our August Stamp Add-On Kit. This stamp is also a flag banner shape which works perfectly on her card.I hope you will try using flag banners on one of your upcoming projects!
