Today I am sharing a “Start to Finish” project video by our amazing Youtube Guest Designer, Emily Wilbur (aka omgitzemily074) featuring our super fun August 2013 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits.  Videos are a great way to see the creative process that our designers go through as they create their projects.  Make sure to check Emily’s video out!  You will find yet another way that the products in our August Color Add-On Kit can be used on your projects. 

Emily used the Prima polka dot stencil from our August Color Add-On Kit to create her interesting background for her layout.  She placed the stencil over the top of the wood grain patterned paper and spread gesso over the top of it using a plastic gift card.  After removing the stencil, she used her heat tool to dry the gesso.  If you haven’t used gesso before, it holds it shape and creates a dimensional pattern which adds texture to your project.  Using the Hero Arts Ink Dauber (also from our Color Add-On ) she adds a pop of color and gives her background a little extra interest.  Enjoy! xo – Kimberly –
