Happy Thursday!

Greetings from the Cedar Sinai Maternity Ward!  I am here with my sister and her brand new baby girl, Scarlett Marie.  Things are amazing here.  Baby Scarlett was diagnosed with several heart abnormalities during Jen’s pregnancy.  Prior to her birth, she was scheduled for open heart surgery to reconstruct her undersized aorta.  They did an echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) after she was born – and amazingly, her heart was completely normal!  They kept her in the NICU for a couple of days to monitor her.  Yesterday, the moved her into Jen’s room.  Scarlett is completely healthy and both mom and baby will be coming home today.  What an amazing turn of events.
