Today I have an awesome layout to share with you that was created by our NEW design team member, Melanie Blackburn. :D Using the products from our amazing January 2013 Hip Kit – and Mel demonstrates the versatility of our January kit by creating this beautiful wintery page. |
 Grey is the new neutral… and I love that she used the Crate Paper February Paper as the background for her page. She used her Silhouette Cameo to cut the various snowflakes out of white cardstock. She cut the “authentic arrow” with her Silhouette as well. This is a great tool to create customized intricate shapes for your projects. However, if you don’t have a Silhouette you can use a snowflake punch to make small snowflakes. To make the larger snowflake, you can find printable snowflake clipart on your computer, and enlarge it to the size you want and print it on the reverse side of your white cardstock. Using scissors or a craft knife, you can cut it out. This is a bit more time consuming – but it will give you the same effect. For the arrow… combine an arrow sticker and alphabet to create a similar look. I love how Mel’s page allows you to stretch your imagination. 😀
