Hi Everyone… I know it has been quiet around our blog for the past few days. Life has been crazy here at the Hutchison household. :) Both of our youngest daughters are on the track teams for their schools. For those of you who have done track in the past, or who have kids that run track – you know how long those track meets can last. Last week alone – we had 4 meets between the two girls. Proud Mom moment when Madeleine’s 4 x 400 meter relay qualified to go onto State, and when Mackenzie beat the 400 meter 8th grade school record. :) So getting back on track here are Hip 2-b Square – I have a great layout to share with you that Kristin Kingrey created using our April 2012 Hip Kit & Embellishment Add-On Kit. I love how Kristin added the Mister Huey’s Mist in a visual triangle along with some mist splatters. This really takes the eye all the way around her page. Her arced title and large circle draw your eye inward. The embellishment cluster in the lower right hand corner allows your eye to travel across the page taking in each element on her page. Notice how she backed the wood veneer frame with cardstock that had also been misted with the yellow Mister Huey’s mist. Both of these products were included in our April Embellishment Add-On Kit. She also backed the Lilybee heart and the little tag with yellow cardstock to make them more substantial. She clustered all of these things together using a couple of pop dots to give it nice dimension. I also love the addition of the teal button. It gave just the right burst of color to her page.
