Hello cardmaking friends! Anya is here today and I am so excited to share a set of cards I created this week using the new January Hip Kit! I love everything about this kit! There’s so much you can do with it, but I decided to start with cards since I wanted to use a bunch of fussy-cut flowers and all types of embellishments available in this kit.

I am not very good at mixed-media that’s why I was very excited to see the “Dreamer” patterned paper with splatters of color on it. Looks handmade, but without a mess. I used parts of that paper for the background on my cards. But my starting point and inspiration came from the “Unique” striped paper. I cut it into color coordinating strips of 6-7 stripes and created cards in the color scheme that was proposed by these pieces.

For my first card I used embellishments in pink and orange colors. I added a bingo card to the center and created a floral cluster to left of it. As much as I like adding greens to my flower arrangements, I must say that those little black accents are my favorite on these cards!

For my second card I picked blue and yellow shades. A yellow decorative frame is my centerpiece here and another floral cluster I created with flowers and greens from embellishment pack and the ones I cut out from the “Honest” and “Humorous” patterned papers. The “LOVE” foam sticker was a perfect sentiment for this card.

Third card I made in purple and yellow color scheme. For the longest time I struggled using any shades of purple on my projects but Hip Kit Club Kits made me fall in love with this color! I love using purple now and really happy with the way this card turned out. This floral cluster was finished with a gorgeous butterly and for the sentiment on this card I used the “love” puffy sticker.
I hope you were inspired by today’s cards and will make time to create some cards this week! January Kit is perfect for making beautiful cards! Thank you for visiting Hip Kit Club blog today and I hope you will be back soon for more inspiration!
