Hello scrapbooking friends! Anya’s here today and I am so excited to share a layout I created using the September Hip Kit and a set of Star Dies. I’ve been a fan of Hip Kit Club for a very long time but recently I’ve been appreciating the content of each kit even more! The best part about these kits is that they are full of elements that inspire me to tell another story!

This layout tells a story about my recent parent/teacher coference we had this year, and the way Alex was praised by all his teachers for his efforts and great job he does in seventh grade. The journaling is a bit long and requires an additional half-page to with this layout. I will be adding it to the album with a photo of his school, but today I wanted to share the main page. Since he is really a star student, what a better way to design the page then adding a row of these amazing die cut stars!
To create this layout I matted a piece of white cardstock on a soft grey paper from the Cardstock Kit, and created my base out of two coordinating patterns in light blue. I loved that one of them had so many school-themed images on it. Then, I took two PL cards and adhered them behind my photos, creating a visual vertical line. Along that line I added a line of die cut stars.
A couple of fussy cut apples, chipboard flair, puffy stickers and a few school themed ephemera pieces complete this layout. I hope this project inspired to look through the content of one of your recent kits and it will remind you of a story you yet get to tell. Get those memories into your albums!
