Hello crafty friends! I mentioned many times before how much I love HKC patterned paper! There are so many awesome patterns in each kit and usually one unique paper with a design almost done for you. In July’s kit, there’s a large hexagon frame with floral clusters on opposite sides. It is one of my favorite papers this month, and I can tell that other designers loved it as well since many created layouts with it.

To create this layout, I decided to follow the hexagon theme and die cut a few more hexagons from a blue paper that was found in the Solids Kit. Next, I arranged them near printed floral clusters and filled each hexagon shape with either photo, journaling, or embellishments.
For the title I used one of the foam stickers, and a few phrase strips from the PL kit as subtitles. To finish this page, I added fussy cut foliage and die cut florals around the existing clusters. Also, I added a few round embellishments on opposite sides, to soften the repeated geometric shapes. Last thing I did, is framed the whole page with a thin border of a gorgeous sunset pattern and stitched around it.
I am always so happy when the page turnes out the way I invisioned it. Thanks to the beautiful base paper this layout came together pretty quickly.
