Hello, it’s Antonia with my first blog post for Hip Kit Club! I’m using journaling pockets from the February Embellishment Kit and foldout segments created with the January Nested Arch die set to include hidden journaling and extra photos on my layout!
I love visiting historical places and taking lots of photos of the details – but it can be difficult to include all those photos on one layout!

I started with creating two foldout segments using the Nested Arch die set by folding a piece of patterned paper in half and positioning the die so that it overhangs the left side of the patterned paper so that it doesn’t cut through the folding. I added a photo each to the top – these are photos I wanted to be visible; I added another photo and a journaling card each to the folded over sides. I used cardstock from the February 2024 Cardstock Kit to mat my photos onto before adhering them down.
Next, I assembled two of the foldable pockets – these are very similar in shape and size to the folded elements. I added a photo each to the top and a journaling card each to slot into the pockets. These journaling cards are easy to pull out and accommodate further photos and hidden journaling.
I arranged the four elements on the background paper and added small embellishment clusters to each using the February main kit and embellishment kit. I added a blue frame to the page – I love how it picked up on all the blue details and made them pop on the layout!
Finally, I squeezed the title on the top and bottom of the layout – don’t you just love those puffy alphas? Perfect in size for those longer titles!
