Hello friends! Anya here today, and I’m so happy to share a layout I just created using the October Kit! I absolutely adore the patterned papers in this kit! The “Colors of Change” paper caught my attention and I knew I will be using it very soon. My color combination for this layout started with that paper, and I happened to have photos that worked well with these colors.
For this page I wanted to add stitching in a unique way. I barely ever create a page without some stitching on it, but usually it is just a stitched line around the border. Today, I decided to use one of those fancy stitches on my sewing machine that never get used.
I took a piece of orange solid papers from the kit and ran lines of those fancy stitches, using the previous one as guide for the next one to get the perfect distance between them. Then, I cut a title with my Silhouette machine and used the negative piece, with an orange piece behind it. It’s an easy and unique way to add more texture to your layout.
To finish this layout, I used a mix of fussy cut leaves and flowers, die cut leaves, velum die cuts and chipboard to create clusters on both sides of my photos. Also, I used some adorable felt mushroom stickers for the pop of color and two wooden chipboard pieces for more texture. I am happy with the way this page turned out and can not wait to make a bunch more pages with HKC October kit!
Thank you for visiting HKC blog and we hope you will stop by again soon for more inspiration!
