Let’s Use a Cut File TO Make AN Album / Anya

Hello crafty friends! Raise your hand if you like to start your project with a specific starting point. I totally do! Today I would love to share a mini book that I created with the August kit, which started with this gorgeous hot air balloon cut file.

Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.

To create this album, I cut the main image for the cover of the album, backed it with solid papers, and stitched all around the white cardstock lines for texture. Then, I offset this image to cut a slightly larger shape to all of the white cardstock pages and covered each page spread with coordinating patterned papers from the kit.

Decorating these little albums are always my favorite part. I like to add white frames for my future photos and decorate around them with little elements I can find, including fussy cut pieces. One of the things I tried to remember here, is to add more bulk to the bottom part of the album, since the top part will have photos, and to balance the thickness of the pages, I added a little detail to each page at the bottom.

Hope you were inspired today by this project and maybe even recreate it for your own memories. Thank you for stopping by and make sure to come back again soon for more inspiration!

XOXO – Anya Lunchenko
