Hey friends! I’m excited to share my new layout for Mixed Media Monday! I love Mixed Media Mondays! I enjoyed working with all the exclusives and beautiful patterned paper in the June 2023 Kits! I hope you are inspired and will share your projects made using these beautiful kits! I have a link to the full process video below.

I started this layout by cutting two rows out of the beautiful chevron patterned paper in the Main Kit. I cut out the rows and distressed the edges. Behind the patterned paper, I added beautiful Shimmerz Paints products from past Hip Kit Color Kits. I added these in rainbow order after tracing the lines of the patterned paper to dictate where the color needed to go. The colors used were: Bahama Mama, Naughty & Nice, Can’t Elope, Sunny, Slow Ocean, Ride the Tide, Lapis Dance, and Beats Me. I added the colors so that they peeked out of the patterned paper on top and bottom.

I then added my photos and matted them on patterned paper from the Main Kit in rainbow order. Around the photos, I used embellishment from the June kits to draw attention to my photos. The chipboard pieces in the June kit added great texture and dimension.

Above and below the photos I added stamped phrases and images from the fantastic stamp set in the Project Life Kit. I love the travel themed words, phrases, and images.

I added hand stitching and sequins along the middle of the chevron rows for added detailing and shine. This also adds great texture to the layout. I finished the layout by adding splatters of gold acrylic paint from the June Color Kit.
