Hello Hip Kit friends , Anke here with a new mixed media layout inspiration featuring the April 2023 Hip Kits. For today’s Mixed Media Monday I got the assignment to scraplift another design  team member and I chose this beautiful layout created by Miss Carrie:

 

 

And this is my layout:

 

 

First I cut the  “January 2023 Linen Texture Metal Die”  two times from white cardstock. Then I cut two floral clusters from the Hip Kit Club Exclusive “Hip & Humble – Vintage Bouquet” paper using the coordinating metal die which is included in the October Color Kit. And I fussy cut more leaves and flowers from the same paper .

 

 

I cut off a strip from white cardstock and applied a layer of modeling paste using the stencil , which is included in the April Color Kit. When the paste was dry I placed this paper strip on my layout and backed it with a piece of the “Hip &Humble – Handmade” paper.

 

 

Then I stamped on my cardstock background using the “April 2023 Newsprint Texture” stamp.

 

 

I layered my photos with the “Linen Texture” die cuts and added two tags, one from the “Hip & Humble Ephemera” pack, which is included in the April Main Kit and another one from the April Pocket Life Kit. I tucked them behind my photos and added some twine.

 

 

I chose some of the black and white “Floral Ephemera”, which you can find in the April Embellishment Kit.  Then I added the die cuts and the fussy cut flowers.

 

 

I wanted to add more stamped elements to my background. Therefore I used the “Mini Postage Stamp”, which is also included in the April Embellishment Kit. Then I cut two more “Linen Texture” die cuts. I placed one behind my photos and cut the other one in two pieces, placed them beside the stamped images on top and bottom of my layout and added some fussy cut flowers. I continued embellishing the layout with more die cuts from the “Hip & Humble Ephemera” pack and two of the “Clear Stickers”, which are included in the April Embellishment Kit. I glued these butterfly stickers on the “Handmade” paper and cut them out. Then I pierced holes and stitched the butterfly trails.

 

 

I cut out my title using the “February 2023 You’re Amazing” metal die.I cut it two times, one from white cardstock and one from the “Handmade” paper and layered them.

 

 

I added a “Mini Puffy Phrase Sticker” and some “Puffy Dot Stickers” The “Puffy Stickers” are included in the April Embellishment Kit. Then I added  some Nuvo Drops to the center of the flowers. You can find the Nuvo Drops in the April Color Kit. Finally I completed my title using the “Sunshine & Mango Mini Puffy Alphabet Stickers”, which are included in the April Pocket Life Kit.

 

 

This is the finished layout. I hope you like it and feel inspired to add some mixed media accents to your projects.
