Hi everyone, Anke here with a new layout inspiration for Hip Kit Club, featuring the January 2023 Hip Kits. On Sundays we focus on techniques and I created a layout that has cuts to slide in photos and embellishments. I also used some dies and stamps.
First I cut my white cardstock and a sheet of the “Hip Kit Club Exclusive – Essential solids – Mist” paper, which is included in the January Cardstock Kit, to 9×12 inches. I made three cuts into the “Mist” paper and sewed around each cut with my sewing machine. Then I glued the paper on the white cardstock and added more machine stitching. The base of my layout was finished.
I chose some of the exclusive metal dies, the “Linen Texture” die from January, the “Snowflake Cluster” and the “Layered Snowflakes” from December and the “Fancy Frond” dies from November. I cut them all from white cardstock and backed the leaves of the “Fancy Frond” die cuts with vellum.
Then I layered my photo with a “Linen Texture” die cut, slid it into the cut in the middle of my page and added the “Fancy Frond” die cuts and two of the “Layered Snowflake die cuts. The “Snowflake Clusters” were placed in the cuts above and below my photo.
I chose some of the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – “The Stories We Tell – Ephemera”, which are included in the January Main Kit and added them to my layout, combined with some “Floral Ephemera” die cuts, which you can find in the January Embellishment Kit.
I got the assignment to incorporate stamps , so I chose some stamps from the “The Stories We Tell” – 4×6″ stamp set, which is included in the January Pocket Life Kit, stamped on white cardstock, punched and cut them out and placed them on my layout.
Then I added a bow from the “The Stories We Tell – Build a Pocket Stickers” pack, which is included in the January Main Kit, a word sticker (also included in the January Main Kit) and one of the “Chipboard Shape Stickers”, which you can find in the January Embellishment Kit.
I finished with some of the “Puffy Dots” , which you can also find in the January Embellishment Kit.
I really love how the layout turned out and I hope you like it and feel inspired to use this technique on your projects.
